Terms of use

1. Scope and acceptance

Chocon provides a learning-companion ecosystem through chocon.net, the parent Dashboard, the iOS/Android parent app, Chocon Desktop and related backend services.

Chocon is provided by CKPAY.,JSC, at 178 Mai Dịch, Phú Diễn, Hanoi, Vietnam.

By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms and any additional policies we publish.

2. Parent accounts and security

Only parents or legal guardians aged 18 or older may create and manage a Chocon account. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• Provide accurate, up-to-date information whenever it changes.
• Keep sign-in credentials, pairing codes and mobile devices secure; sign out or revoke devices you no longer use.
• Notify Chocon at hotro@chocon.net immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.

3. Acceptable use and child protection

You agree to use Chocon for educational purposes and to shield children from harmful content or behaviour. Guiding children toward safe, age-appropriate device use remains your responsibility.

• Do not upload, share or access content that violates the law, promotes violence or harms children.
• Do not attempt to disable, bypass or interfere with Chocon safety controls or approved learning-source rules.
• Ensure children understand and follow the safe-use rules you configure.

4. Service updates and interruptions

Chocon may update features, limits and interfaces to improve the service. Chocon will not represent a device or safety state as healthy/connected when the backend or device has not confirmed it.

We release improvements and security patches; some updates may be required to continue using the service safely.

Chocon strives for reliable service but may pause availability for maintenance, incident response or legal compliance. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.

5. Privacy and data processing

Data collection and use are governed by the Chocon Privacy Policy. By using the service you acknowledge that policy.

The parent or guardian is responsible for entering appropriate child-profile information, explaining optional features, and enabling camera/notifications only when suitable for the family.

• We collect only the data required to operate, protect children and meet legal obligations.
• You can adjust notification permission in the app/operating system; the QR camera runs only on the scanner screen; the Desktop posture camera is a separate optional feature.
• You can request account deletion in the app or at chocon.net/dashboard/account-deletion.

6. Intellectual property and licence

Chocon, its logos and related software are owned or lawfully licensed by CKPAY.,JSC. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service.

You may not exploit, copy or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

• Do not copy, resell or distribute the installers to third parties.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with Chocon source code or infrastructure.
• Do not use Chocon trademarks in a way that implies partnership or endorsement without approval.

7. Disclaimer and indemnity

Chocon is provided “as is”. We are not liable for damages arising from misuse of the service or illegal activity.

You agree to indemnify Chocon against claims that result from your breach of these terms or infringement of third-party rights.

• Damages caused by altering security configurations beyond recommended limits.
• Use of the service to violate privacy or intellectual property rights of others.

8. Termination and changes

You may stop using the service by signing out, unpairing/revoking devices and requesting account deletion. Uninstalling the mobile or Desktop app does not by itself delete the account.

We may suspend or terminate access if we detect a breach of these terms or a safety risk to children.

We will notify you of updates to these terms. Continued use after notification means you accept the revised version. Contact legal@chocon.net with any questions.
